  • You will lead your own episode on a subject of your choice.
  • Learn how to find information and write a show.

What will we cover?

  • Researching things that interest you
  • Using technology
  • Listening to music

  • Writing for radio

How will I be taught?

Each week people will be allocated jobs to produce a radio show. One person will lead the content and presenting of the show whilst others assist with sourcing the music, and assisting with the technical aspects of radio production. Expect to learn how to use microphones, mixers, radio software ‘Spreaker’, how to interview people and write content for radio shows. We will be visiting local radio stations to see how the professionals do it and learn from their experience.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

You will need:

A bus pass or fare for when visiting local radio stations.
